Lotusphere is attended annually by over 6,500 business professionals from around the world. “Social Business is People Business” is the major theme for the event this year. As a kick off to this 4-day event, GBS and IBM are offering students a free one day pass because they know organizations are looking to attract new types of employees – people like you - that can help them get ahead of the curve and become a more social business.

You will learn how companies are integrating social business processes and technologies to reach out to customers and prospects like never before. Learn what is new in web development, social media applications, cloud computing, collaboration solutions and instant messaging.

This is a great opportunity for you to get a first-hand look at an industry, which continues to need qualified business professionals developers, analysts, administrators, engineers, and entrepreneurs.

New Stuff This Year

Career Fair: Due to overwhelming feedback from last year’s event, IBM has committed to a special career fair at this year’s event exclusively for attending students. Business partners and companies will be invited to meet with students to discuss available internships and employment opportunities.

Student Access to Solution Showcase: The Lotusphere Showcase is a great place for students to learn about the IBM Lotus marketplace. This year we are planning to include a visit to the Solution Showcase within our formal GBS College agenda. Get a firsthand look at some new and exciting products businesses are looking for.

Business and Technical Tracks: Students will be taken to pre-determined business and/or technical oriented sessions and/or labs.
