Frankfurt - November 25, 2009 – GROUP Business Software AG negotiates the selling of its units GROUP Business Software Holding OY, Finland and GEDYS IntraWare GmbH, Germany and the related CRM business in the German speaking markets. The anticipated sale price is between 6 and 7 million Euros ($9 to 10.5 million USD). Closing of the sale is expected before the end of this year, effective as of December 31, 2009. All related net profits for 2009 remain with GROUP.

GROUP will concentrate its CRM product line around international demands, particularly around off-premise (SaaS) solutions. In combination with its GROUP Live technology, GROUP will serve the US, UK and European markets with a hosted version of its new GROUP CRM offering. GEDYS IntraWare will focus its CRM products in the central European markets with an on-premise offering.

From GROUP’s perspective, the opposing needs of the different markets demand two very different product lines. Due to GROUP’s international strategy, the related efforts for marketing, support, and sales would not justify this investment.

GROUP and GEDYS IntraWare will cooperate or CRM products in the German speaking markets in the future.
