Logging iQ.Suite processes by the Quarantine function "Processing History"

iQ.Suite Tips & Tricks for Microsoft Exchange / SMTP

Use the "Processing History" quarantine feature to find out quickly and easily whether emails have been processed by iQ.Suite jobs.

Step by Step:

  • Under Basic Configuration -> Folder Settings -> Quarantine, the iQ.Suite quarantines provide the option “Include full processing history”. If you cannot find this function in your iQ.Suite, it means you are still running an older version of the software. With this option enabled, the processing details of all iQ.Suite jobs executed using this quarantine are logged in the processing log of the quarantine.

  • Once the “Include full processing history” option has been enabled for the desired quarantine, select an iQ.Suite job with the “Copy to Quarantine” action configured, for instance the iQ.Suite Wall Email Address Filtering job. Typically, this job should be run at the end of the iQ.Suite job chain.

  • Whenever an email is processed by this job, the processing information for all preceding iQ.Suite jobs is provided in the quarantine objects under “Processing Log” in the field “Processing Log”. This allows to quickly determine which jobs have processed the email and, if applicable, which actions have been executed.
