iQ.Suite: Opening PDFs in a browser
Tags: IBM Domino Microsoft Exchange Microsoft SMTP PDFCrypt
Problem
A PDF created in iQ.Suite PDFCrypt can’t be opened in a browser.
Solution
In general, PDFs cannot be opened in browsers. iQ.Suite PDFCrypt creates an Adobe PDF. When the PDF is opened, all Adobe PDF Reader functions can be used.
Recently, however, browsers such as Chrome have begun including their own plug-ins for displaying PDFs. These do not offer the full range of functions and may not be able to open PDFs.
In Chrome, for example, these plug-ins can be deactivated to enable use of the Adobe Reader (or another default programme) for PDFs.
Settings: under chrome://plugins/
Deactivate this plug-in:

Further information
Adjust the browser settings so that the Adobe PDF Reader Add-on is selected to open the PDFs in your browser.
