GBS-Mini series - Closer look at iQ.Suite features: iQ.Suite Clerk Integration in Microsoft

Today we start our GBS Newsletter mini-series, which takes a closer look at iQ.Suite features and briefly and concisely explains thei relevant added value. The series kicks off with iQ.Suite Clerk and the solution's integration options in Microsoft.

iQ.Suite 19.1 for Microsoft delivers a new integration into the Microsoft world. Absences recorded in iQ.Suite Clerk are synchronized by iQ.Suite into the Exchange environment, making them available to all other platforms, such as Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams.

With iQ.Suite Clerk, users can manage absences better. Multiple absences can be scheduled and notifications can be controlled via templates. Recurring absences are particularly important for part-time employees. Their creation, especially of unplanned absences, can be delegated within the own group or company.

iQ.Suite Clerk creates the absences in Exchange so that colleagues are proactively informed about the absence of communication partners when composing new messages. Thus, the advantages of flexible updating with extended options are combined with notifying employees in the various communication systems.

GBS Workflow Manager

Outlook on new GBS Workflow Manager version

In March, we will release a new version of the GBS Workflow Manager that will include several enhancements.

These are the highlights:

The filters for views are expanded for the application designer so that there are more options for presenting selected data in corresponding views

A new drop-down list is introduced for form design, enabling users to find data more quickly in large data sets

The support for containerized enterprise environments is extended for the administrator. In addition to the Docker image of the GBS Workflow Manager, it is also provided as a Helm Chart. This enables simplified deployment and scalable use even in environments managed with Kubernetes*.

* Kubernetes is an open source container orchestration system for automated deployment of cloud-native applications.

As usual, you can find the new release in the download area.

Security Operations Center – the central interface for your company's cybersecurity management

Security Operations Center – the central interface for your company's cybersecurity management

Most of the methods we are using today for protection against cyber threats are reactive and have proven to be insufficient. The first step in changing from re-active to pro-active is to gain the necessary visibility and insights into what is happening in an organization. This allows to identify and investigate suspicious trends, traffics, events and behavior before the data is actually breached, or at least to reduce the damage. This approach is building on already existing standard cyber security solutions and is vastly referred to as Security Operations Center (SoC).

SoC is quickly becoming a preferred choice for many companies to overcome the ever-increasing complexity of cybersecurity. However, most of them don’t have the necessary expertise for the technology it requires and all regulations and policies.

This short video by BULPROS gives you an insight into the challenges and solutions of the SoC concept.
