The New Challenge: Securing our Collaboration Platforms
E-Mali and collaboration platforms have one thing in common when it comes to the protection and security of our communications. They both have either no or very limited capabilities to fight the most popular attack mechanisms.
Over the past year, there have been quite a number of security incidents on some of the collaboration platforms over the past year. Some of the collaboration platform vendors introduced built-in protection and advanced security mechanisms as an option for those who are more sensitive on that topic and promoted Office 365 as a safe place for data. Yet these offer insufficient control and very limited visibility.
What are the benefits of built-in security features and what are their limitations? What can be done to overcome the latter and get more protection for your collaboration platforms? You will find the answers to these questions in our blog article. more >>
Integration of iQ.Suite 360 with Office 365 for optimal malware protection
The built-in security features of collaboration platforms are often insufficient and limit control and visibility. The modern cloud solution iQ.Suite 360protects collaboration and communication tools in a simple, effective way and from a central location.
We have created a few illustrative infographics that show how iQ.Suite 360 integrates with Office 365 to detect and remove malware.
When a file is uploaded to SharePoint Online or MS Teams, unlike with Exchange, it is not scanned for malware and quarantined. iQ.Suite 360 provides near real-time scanning to close this security gap and secure Office 365 even better. See the process here: To infographic „Online Scan“ >>
Unlike other solutions, iQ.Suite 360 offers the option to run security scans on a predefined schedule. See the process of a scheduled scan here: To infographic „Scheduled Scan“ >>
Customers often think that onboarding solutions is complicated. With iQ.Suite 360, this is done in just 5 simple steps, which you can see here: To infographic „Onboarding“ >>
New releases of iQ.Suite Domino and Microsoft in May
We are planning to release new versions of the email management solution iQ.Suite in May. iQ.Suite 20.0 for Microsoft and iQ.Suite 24.0 for HCL Domino will come out with a number of new features.
Here is a brief look at the main highlights of the major releases for both iQ.Suite 20.0 and iQ.Suite 24.0:
iQ.Suite Watchdog offers automatic engine updates for the McAfee Engine. McAfee has increased the intervals of their SDK updates and at the same time announces the end of support for current SDKs. To avoid the need for a complete iQ.Suite update for each McAfee SDK update, it will be possible in the future to perform an automatic update of the McAfee component within iQ.Suite.
Uploading non-PE files with Avira SAVAPI is enabled in iQ.Suite Watchdog via a separate Avira license.
In iQ.Suite Watchdog, the Sophos Sandbox URL is changed to specify an optimal Sophos data center.
iQ.Suite 20.0 for Microsoft
New Wall Job to extract mail header values in variables and set them to the value of another header.
Extending the Wall Advanced Action Job with a function for using regular expressions (Regex) for header selection.
New Crypt Pro Outlook add-in for encryption management.
The existing Clerk Outlook Add-In is extended with the offline version.
In the Clerk module, all fields (AD/LDIF) are available as variables now.
PowerShell extensions: PowerShell CmdLets are provided for conditions, address lists, actions and various job types.
WebClient - Trailer configuration
The trailer component can be configured completely in the WebClient.
iQ.Suite 24.0 for HCL Domino
The PDFCrypt module is now also available for Linux.
DAOS Activation - Redundant storage of email attachments can be avoided with the help of DAOS (Domino Attachment and Object Service). In iQ.Suite Setup, DAOS can be activated for specific database templates.
A prefix for database title can also be specified or configured for iQ.Suite Safe databases.
In the Clerk module, the field "Representative for non-forwarding" is optionally offered as a mandatory field.
All email fields will be available in iQ.Suite notification templates in the future.
The license request form in iQ.Suite has been thoroughly revised and made more user-friendly.
HCL Domino 12 will soon be supported with iQ.Suite 24.0. RHEL8 and SUSE15 are also officially supported.
The new versions of the email management solution iQ.Suite will be available in the download area of GBS as soon as they are released.
End of support for iQ.Suite on AIX
We inform you in advance: The support for iQ.Suite on AIX will end together with the end of support for iQ.Suite Domino version 23 on December 31, 2022. No setup will be provided for the AIX platform with iQ.Suite Domino version 24.0.

Thank you for your understanding.
Outlook for the GBS Workflow Manager
For the GBS Workflow Manager are available enhancements for the application designer. Among other things, these include additions that enable a more optimal integration of the common Office systems, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
On one hand, workflows can be extended so that files can be exchanged between workflows. On the other hand, content from Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel files can be synchronized with the workflow more easily. Thus, file contents can be read when uploading to a workflow and transferred to the defined fields in the workflow. The reverse is also possible: values captured in the workflow are transferred to the assigned Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel file during download. With these two extensions it is easy to design comprehensive low-code applications in which the leading system is Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel. This provides a useful extension especially for workflows executed in Microsoft SharePoint.
Furthermore, the application designer can integrate new actions in views that allow the user to export the document contents to other systems. A variety of document formats are available for this purpose, such as DOCX, XLSX, CSV, PDF, XML or HTML. This extension is complemented by the integration of templates. The application designer can store a template in which a defined section is applied to each workflow during export. This allows the user to generate extensive reports, manuals or documents with just one click.

Whitepaper: Internal and external encryption with iQ.Suite Exchange
Despite instant messaging and team collaboration tools, e-mail remains the only universal technology that enables scheduled communication with nearly any content. However, this also brings challenges in terms of the required security of communication. Protective mechanisms are necessary, especially when it comes to confidential communication, but at the same time also a simple operation in complex situations.
This whitepaper describes the different technologies and how they can be used together in a corporate infrastructure for internal and external encryption. Encryption explained easily - with an illustrative case study, graphics of the iQ.Suite modules and implementation options.
