GBS with a new and modern office in the RaumFabrik in Karlsruhe
After 20 years, we recently left our Karlsruhe office in Ottostrasse and moved to our new office. It is located in the modern RaumFabrik, in a glass office complex with light-flooded rooms and "stylish" office architecture. From the roof terrace on the 5th floor, employees can now enjoy a beautiful view of Durlach, the oldest and largest district of Karlsruhe.
The RaumFabrik is a business park for innovative companies in the IT high-tech region of Karlsruhe, which puts GBS in the best company. The central and convenient location with very good infrastructure played a significant role in the decision to move, with perfect transport connections to the A5 and A8 as well as tram stops directly on the site. The old town of Durlach is within five minutes walking distance and there are restaurants and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity.
Our new address is: An der RaumFabrik 33c, 76227 Karlsruhe.
All other contact options remain unchanged. GBS welcomes all customers and business partners in the new and modern office! more >>
The Microsoft Office update from November 2019 causes incorrect messages in Access queries
The latest update for Office 365 and Access 2013, 2016 and 2019 raises an incorrect message "Query is corrupt" for numerous Access queries, according to which the query is corrupted.
It can also affect the iQ.Suite with quarantine accesses to Access databases.
Our recommendation: Please uninstall the Microsoft Office update from November 2019.
GBS Workflow Manager 3.2 with functionalities for advanced automated process control of business processes
Some optimizations regarding the modeling of business processes were made, in particular for the compliance processes. Timed events can thus be modeled more easily and the associated times or time periods can be defined more easily. In addition, there are other ways to send email alerts and easier programmatic extension using the integrated low-code development functionalities.
The improved support for multiple gateways in a row makes it even easier to model business rules. Also, a new setting for automatic tasks can be made to run immediately at the start of a task. This allows service tasks in particular to be performed more quickly. Thanks to the optimized display in the overview of all agents, the person in charge can control more easily which agents were disrupted during operation.
With the new version, the Workflow Designer also has the option to fine-tune the logging for each task. It is thus possible to determine which changes to the business data should be logged and to what extent. Furthermore, the processing time of a task is now displayed directly in the execution log.
In the area of system administration, further optimizations were made when using an Azure Active Directory. Subsequently, the role of the domain administrator in the GBS Workflow Manager is automatically assigned to a global administrator in the Azure Active Directory. Also users who are deactivated in Azure Active Directory, will be automatically denied access to the GBS Workflow Manager Server.
The GBS Workflow Manager 3.2 will be published in the next few days and is available in the download area.
