GBS’ flagship product to integrate Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine

Kaspersky Lab, the world’s largest privately held vendor of endpoint protection solutions, and GROUP Business Software (GBS), a leading supplier of solutions and services for the IBM and Microsoft collaboration platforms, have entered a technology partnership agreement.

Under the agreement, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine will be integrated into iQ.Suite Watchdog, the anti-malware module of GBS’ flagship product, iQ.Suite, optimizing security and protecting the confidentiality of any email secured by iQ.Suite.

iQ.Suite provides a holistic email security solution for increased confidentiality and data protection. Even complex Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) scenarios can be implemented efficiently with iQ.Suite.

iQ.Suite Watchdog implements comprehensive, server-based protection against cyber threats to the customers’ email infrastructure.

“Considering the recent increase in threats, secure email communication is becoming more and more important. Customers expect state-of-the-art protection for their valuable data. We are pleased to provide our customers with Kaspersky Lab’s comprehensive technologies as part of our products,” states Andreas Richter, GBS’ EVP Marketing & Product Management.

“For several decades now, email has been one of the important vectors of malware penetration into corporate networks. This is why a dedicated solution for mail server protection is a must have for any company, no matter how big or small. We are glad to become a technology partner of GBS, so that our technologies and expertise can be used to safeguard the email correspondence of GBS customers,” says Alexander Karpitsky, Head of Technology Licensing, Kaspersky Lab.

Kaspersky Lab’s antivirus technology will be offered along with iQ.Suite’s newest release at the end of May 2015. Customers will also be able to purchase additional security as part of iQ.Suite Watchdog.
