Using iQ.Suite jobs at specific times
Tags: Microsoft Exchange Microsoft SMTP Wall
You may not want to use certain security functions of iQ.Suite permanently, keeping them active or inactive at specific times. Read in the following pages how to meet this requirement.
Step by Step
Unfortunately, iQ.Suite Jobs do not have a time control feature. However, there are possibilities of setting time restrictions.
For this, one can employ the “iQ.Suite Wall” module and the iQ.Suite variable “[VAR]Timeonly[/VAR]“.

First, a header field is added using an email address filtering job, setting the current time via the variable “[VAR]Timeonly[/VAR]“. In our example, the field is named “X-time“.

In any following iQ.Suite job, the content of the “X-time” field can now be evaluated.
The field is checked using the “Conditions” tab and the function “…with following headers and values“. The example shows how this job processes emails between 4.00 p.m. and 5.59 p.m.
