We have updated our logo
We have updated our logo! The difference now is that the tag “A BULPROS company” has been removed. This update was necessary because BULPROS, to which GBS belongs, is now DIGITALL.
We have changed the logo on our website and are in process of updating it in all recent materials. If you use our logo on your platforms or elsewhere, please make sure you change it with the new one. If you need assistance with this or have any questions, please contact us.
The GBS headquarter in Karlsruhe has changed its address
Since September 24th the GBS headquarter in Karlsruhe has moved to a new, comfortable office. The new address is "Zur Gießerei 19-27B, 76227 Karlsruhe" and is only a 5 minute walk from the previous address "An der RaumFabrik 33c". The new office offers excellent working conditions in a modern style and enough space for our growing team.
In addition, we are now under one roof with our colleagues from DIGITALL (created from the merger of BULPROS and ec4u), to which GBS belongs.
The telephone numbers for Karlsruhe remain the same Tel: +49 721 4901-0 Fax: +49 721 4901-199
As always we are at your disposal!
Protection of collaboration platforms with iQ.Suite 360
Using Microsoft Defender for protecting files uploaded to SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business or Microsoft Teams is a good choice. Nevertheless, it may not be the best solution for every company and situation. In fact, Microsoft recommends that companies should set up anti-malware protection at different levels for the optimal protection of the company infrastructure.
With iQ.Suite 360, GBS offers an alternative or complementary solution that overcomes these limitations for collaboration-platforms. How, find out in our blog post: more >>
Supply Chain Attacks on the rise
As most security constrains could affect business processes, companies often prefer to trust/whitelist their closest partners/suppliers/customers to loosen security measures for them. However, whitelisting can result in a certain exposure, such as to supply chain attacks. A successful supply chain attack can give cyber criminals access to many customers who “trust” these suppliers/vendors.
What are the specifics of these attacks and how can you protect your company from them? You will learn this in our blog post. more >>
Business Email Compromise - the most expensive email attack
Business Email Compromise (BEC) is one of the most lucrative attacks for cybercriminals and has been on the rise in the last years. BEC is often confused with phishing due to the obvious similarities. However, there are some key differences that make BEC much more dangerous and costly than normal phishing. With BEC, for example, nothing in the emails seems suspicious.
There are some actions you can take to prevent BEC and other attacks. Read our blog post to learn how to do this. more >>
GBS with online session "Cybersecurity and the Human Factor" at the University of Paderborn
The communication between educational institutions and the business is very important for preparing students for their future jobs. That is why Dr. Rolf Kremer, R&D Manager at GBS will hold an online session on “Cyber security and the human factor” at the University Paderborn on December 10 to bring the latest insights and trends from the digital world to the students.
Realizing that employees play a huge role in cyber defense has led to the creation of new professional profiles such as Cyber Security Manager, Cyber Security Risk Manager, Penetration Test Engineer and so on. The session will make students aware of human-related safety issues and also present them with new directions for their professional development.
New Release of iQ.Suite 360 in Autumn
The new version of iQ.Suite 360 brings full support for OneDrive for Business. This means that the Threat Protection solution offers similar functionality as for SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
In addition, the new version also features filters. A filter allows the administrator to better determine which files are to be checked. Both the maximum file size and the file types to check or exclude can be specified in a filter. The version is available since the first week of November.
The next version, which is planned for the end of the year, will add reports to the services, among other things. These reports can be sent by e-mail and provide information about detected and blocked malicious content. In addition, the version will support further processes for reacting to a protection violation.
