GBS establishes a Strategic Partnership with ACP for the Microsoft Environment

IBM or Microsoft? For many companies, this question no longer arises. When deploying IT solutions, they increasingly rely on several providers at once, turning their backs on rigid infrastructures. GROUP Business Software AG (GBS), which has a large number of customers predominantly in the IBM Domino/Verse environment, has already acknowledged this development and is further promoting its newly-adopted multi-platform strategy through a new partnership. The social business experts will from now on be collaborating with IT solutions provider ACP, which is established both in Germany and in Austria within the Microsoft environment.

While GBS already targets both Microsoft and IBM environments within its email management solution iQ.Suite, the company also wishes to offer its customers a corresponding broad know-how on the infrastructure and application levels. This is where ACP contributes its extensive Microsoft expertise – proven by various certifications and top-class experts – to the new partnership. They cover the entire Microsoft solutions portfolio, including the Exchange messaging service and the SharePoint collaboration platform. ACP also offers further tools from Quest Software (part of the Dell corporation) to support migrations.

Together, GBS and ACP will now offer Easy Move projects for your customers who wish to migrate or modernise their messaging or collaboration environments. "Our customers will benefit from appropriate one-stop solutions and services", says Herbert Reder, Executive Vice President Sales at GBS, concerning the new partnership. Willi Prosen, Managing Director of ACP IT Solutions GmbH in Cologne, also highlights the combined expertise that will be offered from now on: "GBS is a leader in the IBM Domino environment, whereas we play a leading role in the Microsoft environment. With the combination of both companies' expertise, our customers will enjoy various concrete benefits for the implementation of their projects."
