Workflow Management in Microsoft SharePoint: GBS AppDesigner enables automation of business processes
The collaboration experts at GROUP Business Software Europa GmbH (GBS) have expanded their platform support for the GBS AppDesigner. The intuitive workflow management solution has focused on the leading collaboration system, Microsoft SharePoint.

Although it has been possible to model and display forms in SharePoint with the AppDesigner for some time, the new version goes a big step further: The integration of workflows based on the BPMN 2.0 standard has made business processes usable in SharePoint, too. And an intuitive drag and drop interface as well as numerous standard design elements make it easy to use, too. Professional users can develop and deploy individual business processes with the GBS AppDesigner without programming skills in just a few steps.

The workflows and forms created with the GBS AppDesigner are embedded as provider-hosted add-ins directly in SharePoint workspaces. The familiar work environment remains unchanged for SharePoint users and they are able to access relevant data and processes within the SharePoint platform. The integration with the email management solution iQ.Suite enables the forwarding of information in emails. Text contents, such as order numbers or article descriptions and data in email attachments can be incorporated in business processes.
The GBS AppDesigner for SharePoint is available immediately and can be used on premises or in the cloud in Office 365.
