GBS connects worlds at CeBIT 2014 - intuitively linking business applications and e-mail with social business

From 10 to 14 March, all eyes at CeBIT in Hanover will once again be on innovative developments from the ITC sector. Against this background, the collaboration experts from GROUP Business Software AG (GBS) will be presenting their solutions and numerous innovations for leading platforms in IBM and Microsoft environments. The GBS stand will be focusing on improving collaboration, integrating e-mail and business applications in modern social business systems and protecting confidential data. Last mentioned point has gained significantly in importance for companies given the revelations relating to PRISM, Tempora and other monitoring programs.
GBS experts at stand A30 in hall 2 will therefore be assigning great importance to the topic of e-mail security under the banner "Expertise matters" and introducing customers to WebCrypt Pro and Crypt Pro, two effective encryption solutions for B2B and B2C communication. They will also be presenting ways in which data protection can be improved and the theft of knowledge can be prevented. „For the first time GBS will introduce its newest development iQ.Suite Watchdog FileSafe, a cloud-based solution for the secure transmission of file attachments”. "CeBIT reflects the pace of innovation. We get fully involved and will be presenting visitors to our stand with a whole range of new solutions, addressing key topics such as security, collaboration and mobility," explains Andreas Richter, VP for Marketing Europe at GBS.
Another highlight on the collaboration experts' stand is the GBS AppDesigner for the intuitive creation of platform-intependent web applications. The innovative solution was very recently placed in the leader quadrant of the social business vendor benchmark for 2014 by analysts at the Experton Group. "The coexistence of different collaboration and application platforms is growing in importance for companies. We see ourselves as innovation drivers in this area, as the bridge between IBM and Microsoft environments and as experts in the integration of web applications and e-mail with modern platforms," says Constanze Zarth, COO at GBS. Connect2SharePoint and Connect2Connections are two new solutions GBS has added to the product line of its email management platform iQ.Suite and the GBS AppDesigner.
Customers planning to change their e-mail infrastructure from an IBM environment to Microsoft can find out more about "Easy Move" on the GBS stand. The offer, developed along with ACP, provides support for such projects and for such projects and its intelligent methods and efficient tools will greatly simplify the change in platform.
On the third day of the fair, 12 March (1 pm to 2.30 pm), GBS will also be giving a series of presentations on current developments in collaboration and social business. Four short presentations in the Convention Center will include a overview of the highlights of the last IBM Connect in Orlando and the Microsoft SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas.
