GBS at the CeBIT 2016: The cornerstones of successful digital transformation? Comprehensive security and flexible business processes
Karlsruhe / Hannover, Germany
GROUP Business Software (GBS) will present applications that build sturdy fundaments for successful digital transformation in Hall 2, Stand A30 at the CeBIT in Hanover; Germany from March 14-18, 2016. The spotlight will be on new developments in cyber security for email communication, as well as the intuitive generation of workflows and web applications, featuring seamless integration with Microsoft SharePoint and IBM Connections.
In light of the rising number of phishing emails and Trojan attacks, email security takes centre stage at GBS’s CeBIT stand. “Phishing threats are the red-hot topic, now reaching perfidious dimensions. Take the new crypto Trojan Locky, for example: The Windows pest enters companies via email and is infecting easily 5000 computers every hour in Germany. Sensitising staff members to the risk is one crucial line of defence, taking comprehensive protective technical steps is another. At our booth, we will present solutions to block this type of attack and advise visitors about suitable security measures,” says Andreas Richter, EVP Marketing & Product Management at GBS.
By integrating Kaspersky security technology in their email management software, iQ.Suite, and thereby improving phishing and spam protection, GBS is also responding to the increasing number of targeted attacks. Enhanced data protection, especially data leakage prevention, plays a growing role in business communication. The email experts will present iQ.Suite DLP, a solution to detect confidential contents in emails and reliably block transmission.
GBS’s innovative technology to detect anomalies will debut at the CeBIT. Recognising deviations from the norm, this technology stops the email transmission of critical business data. A modern, web-based dashboard keeps those in charge of IT up-to-date with key figures and signals possible DLP violations.
The intuitive creation of workflows and business applications is another highlight at the GBS stand. With the GBS AppDesigner, the collaboration experts have a platform-independent, cloud and mobile ready solution that makes using flexible workflows on premise or from the cloud easy. Focused on the seamless use of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Azure, the future proof solution helps businesses profit because it uses recognised standards such as BPMN 2.0.
„There’s no question that the interplay of web, cloud, mobile and collaboration technologies brings enormous strategic advantages to businesses. This is where the GBS AppDesigner comes into play. Companies can master regularly recurring tasks more efficiently, no matter which platforms or end devices are in use. The intuitive interface removes barriers and the digitalisation of business processes can proceed,” according to Constanze Zarth, Managing Director at GBS.
GBS’s strategic partner, GIS, Gesellschaft für InformationsSysteme AG, will also be represented at the CeBIT stand. GIS is specialised in the digital workplace and the digital transformation and will demonstrate customised digital workplace solutions.
