How are licensed products activated?

Activating licensed products requires a valid license file. This file contains information such as mailbox count, operating system, mail system, etc. Upon receipt of this information, the license file is automatically created and sent to you via email or postal mail. Simply follow instructions on copying the file to the directory specified and restart iQ.Suite.

Instructions iQ.Suite for Domino License Activation

You have received an email with a license key for your iQ.Suite.

Please proceed as follows to activate this license:

  1. iQ.Suite must be installed!
  2. If updating from a previously licensed iQ.Suite version, create a copy of your old license file.
  3. Copy the license key (the "toolkit.lic" file attached to the email) to the iQ.Suite license directory Default paths: Windows: C:\Program Files\IBM\lotus\domino\iqsuite ; Unix: /home/domino/iqsuite
  4. Restart your Domino server.

Your iQ.Suite does not work properly although the license has been activated?

In this case, please check if your iQ.Suite version matches the license key. To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. Create a backup copy of the "toolkit.lic" file.
  2. Open the original email attachment file "toolkit.lic" using a text editor e.g. Notepad++.
  3. Check the entries under "Platform", "Release" and "Domain". These entries must correspond to your operating system, your iQ.Suite version and your domain respectively. Attention: If the license file is modified in any way, iQ.Suite will not work any more!
  4. Please contact your sales representative at GROUP or send an email to license-service@de.gbs.com. We will come back to you as soon as possible.
Instructions iQ.Suite for Exchange/SMTP License Activation

You have received an email with a license key for your iQ.Suite.

Please proceed as follows to activate this license:

  1. iQ.Suite must be installed!
  2. If updating from a previously licensed iQ.Suite version, create a copy of your old license file.
  3. Copy the license key (the "license.lic" file attached to the email) to the iQ.Suite license directory Default paths: 32 bit: C:\Program Files\GBS\iQ.Suite\License ; 64 bit: C:\Program Files(x86)\GBS\iQ.Suite\License
  4. Restart the iQ.Suite service.

Your iQ.Suite does not work properly although the license has been activated?

In this case, please check if your iQ.Suite version matches the license key. To do so, proceed as follows:
